Performance Analysis

Stability

If you are new to paddle boarding learning to balance can be tricky. But with that being said, you do not have to worry about that with the Gili 10’6” Air Paddle Board because it offers a very stable ride.

Glide Performance

The Gili 10’6” Air provides a nice and straight rack with a great glide for being only 10’6” and an inflatable. With that being said, yes, you would be able to move a lot faster with a solid board that is longer. But don’t bat an eye at the Gili Air just yet, this board still moves at an above average speed.

Maneuverability

For this board being under $500 and inflatable, it actually has remarkably good maneuverability! This board feels like most other solid boards, but here is where the trouble comes. The trouble seems to arise when the wind picks up. This is due to the fact that the board is very light weight and seems to easily get blown around. Because of this, it can make it very difficult and tiring to paddle in the wind. But if you only want to go out on a nice calm day, this board will work like a charm.

Ease of Transport

Bringing the Gili 10’6” Air is super portable with its small size deflated and the backpack that is included in the bundle. The board can get pumped up in a matter of minutes without a ton of effort. If portability is at the top of your list of needs then consider the Gili 10’6” for your next board.

Value

The value… for under $500 there are not a ton of boards that can match up with the Gili 10’6” due to its fantastic price, great performance and portability. So if you are a beginner or are looking for a second board to goof around with, I could highly consider taking a look at the Gili 10’6”.
